Rhodes & Company Presents The Hospice At May Court with a $100,000 donation over four years!
Coldwell Banker Rhodes & Company Brokerage, Ottawa’s oldest locally owned Real Estate® business, celebrated their 68th Anniversary by making a generous donation to The Hospice at May Court. On February 1st, 2008, Megan Doyle the Hospice’s Director of Development and Joanne Steventon the Communication and Events Coordinator for the Hospice, were happy to attend this special breakfast meeting at The Royal Ottawa Golf Club. That morning a cheque for $25,000 was presented to the Hospice at May Court from the owners and staff of Rhodes & Company. This represented a donation from the company as well as donations from individual agents and office staff that will be made throughout 2008. The decision to become involved with the Hospice at May Court was thought to be a perfect fit for both organizations which are committed to being part of the community and putting people first. The Hospice at May Court provides care and support for the people who are facing life threatening illness and for their families.
This marks the Company’s fourth donation to the Hospice at May Court over the past four years totaling over $100,000. At the breakfast Jim McKeown, (Partner/Broker), addressed the group as one big family and described their years of business together as years of tradition and commitment to the community. In addition he and his team have expressed an interest in staying involved in the Hospice throughout the year, an offer of support that the Hospice will happily accept.
